A New York style pizza is folded in half so you can eat and walk at the same time. It has a thin, chewy crust made with high gluten flour.
And does Canada's largest city like pizza?
You bet they do. There's literally hundreds of places to buy the stuff.
Back in1889, or there abouts Chef Rafaelle Esposito, who wasn't in Toronto, baked a Pizza topped with tomatoes, Mozzarella Cheese, and fresh Basil (the colours of the Italian flag are red, white, and green).
This became known as the Pizza Margherita.
